নারায়ণগঞ্জ বার্তা ২৪(মো:হৃদয়) : নারায়ণগঞ্জ জেলা বাংলাদেশের অত্যন্ত প্রাচীন এবং প্রসিদ্ধ অঞ্চল যা মধ্য অঞ্চলের ঢাকা বিভাগের একটি প্রশাসনিক অঞ্চল। প্রায় ৭০৭ বর্গ কিলোমিটার আয়তন নিয়ে পশ্চিমে ঢাকা পূর্বে মেঘনা ও ধলেশ্বরী নদী, দক্ষিনে মুন্সিগঞ্জ ও উত্তরে নরসিংদী, গাজীপুর এবং নারায়ণগঞ্জে ৭টি থানা নারায়ণগঞ্জ সদর, ফতুল্লা , সিদ্দিরগঞ্জ ,বন্দর, সোনারগাঁ, আড়াইহাজার, ও রুপগঞ্জ নিয়ে বিস্তৃত এই নারায়ণগঞ্জ জেলা। প্রধান নদী হিসেবে পদ্মা, মেঘনা ও বুড়িগঙ্গা অবস্থিত এই অঞ্চলে। ১৭৬৬ সালে হিন্দু সম্প্রদায়ের নেতা বিকন লাল পান্ডে ওরুফে বেণুর ঠাকুর বা লক্ষী নারায়ণ নামে ও পরিচিত। ইস্ট ইন্ডিয়া কোম্পানির নিকট থেকে অঞ্চলের মালিকানা গ্রহন করেন। তিনি প্রভু নারায়ণের সেবার ব্যয় ভার বহনের জন্য একটি দলিলের মধ্যমে শীতলক্ষ্যা নদীর তীরে অবস্থিত মার্কেটকে দেবোত্তর সম্পত্তি হিসেবে ঘোষনা করেন। তাই পরবর্তীকালে এ স্থানের নাম লক্ষী নারায়ণের নাম অনুকরনে নারায়ণগঞ্জ রাখা হয়। সপ্তদশ ও অষ্টাদশ শতাব্দীর মধ্যভাগ পর্যন্ত নারায়ণগঞ্জ নামের কোনো নগরীর অস্তিত্ব প্রাচীন বাংলার মানচিএে পাওয়া যায়নি। এই নারায়ণগঞ্জে চারদিকে ছড়িয়ে রয়েছে প্রাচীনতম ঐতিহ্যসহ নানা ধরনে প্রকৃতিক সুর্ন্দযের প্রতীক। সোনালী আশঁ পাটের জন্য প্রাচ্যের ড্যান্ডি নামে পরিচিত। শীতলক্ষ্যা নদীর পারে অবস্থিত একটি বিখ্যাত নদী বন্দর। এমনকি বাংলাদেশের সবচেয়ে বড় আদমজী পাটকল নারায়ণগঞ্জ জেলায় অতিবাহিত ছিলো। এখনো বাংলাদেশের জনপরিচিত নারায়ণগঞ্জ জেলার বিখ্যাত শিল্প এলাকা বিসিক। নারায়ণগঞ্জে অবস্থিত ঈশা খাঁর রাজধানী সোনারগাঁ যা নারায়ণগঞ্জের এক ঐতিহ্য। প্রাচীন বাংলার রাজধানী হিসেবে পরিচিত ছিলো সোনারগাঁ। এবং সোনারগাঁ নাম অনুকরন করা হয় সুবর্ন গ্রামকে কেন্দ্র করে। শামসুদ্দিন ইলিয়াস শাহ সোনাররগাঁ দখল করেন ১৩৫২ খৃস্টাব্দে। সেখান থেকে জারি করা হয় মুদ্রা। সুদুর বাগদাদ নগরী থেকে দিল্লী আধ্যাত্মিক সাধু সম্রাট শাহ ফতেহউল্লাহ ধর্ম প্রচারের উদ্দেশ্য এখানে আসেন।পরবর্তীতে তার মৃত্যুর পরে এখানে কবরস্ত করা হয়। তার নাম থেকেই বুড়িগঙ্গা নদীর তীরে অবস্থিত সুফী সাধকের স্মৃতি বিজড়িত এক সময় পরগণা নামে পরিচিত এই এলাকার নামে অঞ্চল ফতেহউল্লাহ বা ফতুল্লা নামকরন করা হয়। এবং বিভিন্ন ইতিহাস ও ঐতিহ্য নিয়েই আলোচিত অঞ্চল আমাদের নারায়ণগঞ্জ।
