নারায়ণগঞ্জ বার্তা ২৪ : আসন্ন ইউনিয়ন পরিষদ নির্বাচনকে ঘিরে বন্দর উপজেলার ৫ টি ইউনিয়নে বিএনপির পক্ষ থেকে চেয়ারম্যান প্রার্থী বাছাই প্রক্রিয়া শুরু হয়েছে। ইতিমধ্যে প্রার্থী চুড়ান্ত করতে এড. তৈমূর আলম খন্দকারের নির্দেশে জেলা থানা ও ইউনিয়ন পর্যায়ের শীর্ষ নেতাদের নিয়ে প্রার্থী চুড়ান্ত করা হয়েছে। সাধারণ নেতাকর্মীদের মতামতের মাধ্যমে গতকাল শুক্রবার বিকালে কলাগাছিয়া ও মদনপুর ইউনিয়নের বিএনপির চেয়ারম্যান (ধানের শীষ প্রতীকের) প্রার্থী ঘোষনা করা হয়েছে। কলাগাছিয়া ইউনিয়নে বিএনপির চেয়ারম্যান প্রার্থী হলো মোঃ বুলবুল আহাম্মেদ, মদনপুর ইউনিয়নে বিএনপির চেয়ারম্যান প্রার্থী হলো আলহাজ্ব মাজহারুল ইসলাম হিরন। জেলা বিএনপির সভাপতি এড. তৈমূর আলম খন্দকার উপস্থিত থেকে সকলের মতামতের ভিত্তিতে হিরনকে প্রার্থী হিসাবে ঘোষনা করা হয়। এছাড়া কলাগাছিয়া ইউনিয়নের প্রার্থী ঘোষনা করেন, এ সময় উপস্থিত ছিলেন থানা বিএনপির সভাপতি হাজী নূরুদ্দিন, ইউনিয়ন বিএনপির সভাপতি এড. মতিন, দুলাল হোসেন, মুকুল, রিপনসহ ইউনিয়নের নেতৃবৃন্দ।
