নাসিক ২৪ নং ওয়ার্ড কাউন্সিলর প্রার্থী ফয়সাল আহমেদ বলেন, পুরো ২৪ নং ওয়ার্ড যেন মাদকের একটি স্বর্গ রাজ্য। এখানে হাত বাড়ালেই যে কোন ধরনের মাদক মেলে। বিগত ৩ বছর ধরে মাদক বিরোধী আন্দোলন করে আসছি, তথাপি এ আন্দোলনে সফলতা অর্জন করতে পারিনি। মাদক’সহ ব্যবসায়ীদের ধরে পুলিশের হাতে তুলে দিলেও পুলিশ তাদের কবিলের মোড় পার করতে পারেনি। অদৃশ্য এক শক্তির ফোনে পুলিশ তাদের ছেড়ে দিতে বাধ্য হত। মুলত মাদকের আগ্রাসন থেকে ওয়ার্ডবাসীকে মুক্ত করতেই এই নির্বাচনে আমি কাউন্সিলর পদ প্র্রাথী হয়েছি। ওয়ার্ডবাসীর উন্নয়নের স্বার্থেই আমার প্রতিদ্বন্দিতা করা। অতএব জনগনের ভোটে নির্বাচিত হলে সর্ব প্রথম আমি এই ওয়ার্ড থেকে যে কোন মুল্যে মাদক চিরতরে উৎখাত করবো ইনশাল্লাহ্।
তিনি আরও বলেন, ১৩ হাজার ভোটারের এ ওয়ার্ডে একটি হাই স্কুল নেই, স্বাস্থ কেন্দ্র নেই, প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয় গুলোর অবস্থাও নড়বড়ে, বন্দর বাজার ও শহরে গিয়ে বিদ্যুৎ ও ওয়াসার বিল পরিশোধ করতে হয়। তাই এ সমস্যাগুলো গুরুত্বের সাথে সমাধান করার ইচ্ছে রয়েছে আমার। এছাড়া নবীগঞ্জ গুদারা ঘাট দিয়ে ফ্রি নদী পরাপারের ব্যবস্থা করার পরিকল্পনাও রয়েছে।
